Paul Gardner Sensei, 6th Dan, Chief Instructor at Eastern Sky is a student of Shuji Maruyama Sensei, Founder of Kokikai Aikido.  He began his marital arts training in 1980, moved to South East Asia to study martial arts full time and has been teaching aikido in the Rochester area since 1992.

 

 

Rose Pleninger, 4th  Dan, Assistant Instructor and Children's Class Instructor, began her Aikido practice in 2002 teaching  Aikido principles to at risk students at an area high school.  She joined Paul Sensei to establish Eastern Sky in 2008.
